My thoughts during this unprecedented time....

First, I want to say thank you to all of my clients who have continued to support me over the last 5 years. I have really grown in my photography and I appreciate everyone who has ever booked a session with me. Special thanks to those clients who keep coming back session after session. It means more than you can know!

This is a very unusual time and I really hope things can get back to normal soon. With children out of school and parents having to do online learning with their kids, everyone is stressed. I have 3 boys at home and they don't want to do it either. Our kids don't fully understand the impact this virus has had; therefore, they look at this as summer vacation starting early. They don't fully grasp the need for them to continue to do some work at home. I worry about how school will look like next year and how it will impact our children when it comes to their elective classes. Children need to enjoy school and I am not sure how school will look for them.

I have made the decision to start scheduling sessions because I need to help my husband with paying our bills. If I could, I would probably wait to schedule sessions until we knew there wasn't going to be a second wave. However, a lot of people don't have the luxury to do that. It is hard with the state of Missouri has declared that you have to go back to work if you can. I don't know how families with immunocompromised individuals are doing this. I don't have a problem with working, but there are people who are more susceptible to this and they should be given certain lea-ways.

My children and I, basically lived in our house for a month and a half without going out. The exception to that was drives down the back roads yelling at cows. Haha it's a fun game my friends and I made up when we were in high school! It was hard to not schedule sessions when the weather was nice. We just started going out and doing some things this week because I had too. We are still having groceries delivered: #1 it is ten times easier and #2 I don't want to be at the store still. I finally finished our taxes. And we decided to start a YouTube channel (THEcreAtiveTEAM). Hopefully we can get a video edited this weekend for that!

My first sessions back are my Moments with Mommy minis and I am hoping to book some more before they come up. I really love these sessions because you get to capture some special moments for moms and their kiddos. If you are interested, please reach out! I am still working on past sessions. Due to the children being home and computer failure, I have lost some of my edits and time. I am working as fast as my children will allow me too!

Also we are moving to a new platform for client galleries - Shootproof. All new galleries will be deleted at the end of June and any new galleries will be uploaded to Shootproof. We will keep any old sessions on our backup hard drives. If you have lost images, please reach out and we will make a temporary gallery for you to download your images. Again, thank you for the support!
